Hi there.
I'm Ashley and I read your book Freaks recently and enjoyed it very much; it was creative and enticing.
The reason I am writing you though is I am involved in a thespian troupe and I'm doing a set design for a musical called Sideshow for competition in January. It's the story of Siamese twins Daisy and Violet Hilton and their journey from the Sideshow in England to Vaudeville in America. Seeing as how your book was based on historical fact I was hoping you could point me in the direction of some good research material for the basis of my concept for the set. I'm going to look up the books that you mentioned in the back of Freaks and pull info from them as well hopefully. Thanks very much for your time and the inspiration for my concept.

Sincerely,
Ashley Thigpin

Hi, Ashley!
Yikes! There's so much good stuff out there on-line if you search. Daisy and Violet Hilton were great--not to be confused with Nicky and Paris, of course.
You might want to look at web sites and books about banner art. One I have is called Freaks, Geeks, and Strange Girls.
Some good website:

Sorry I'm so late in responding.
Time warp--you know?
