I'd like to share the cover of an anthology from Candlewick Press that I will have a story published in next July. The collection is called Sideshow: Ten Original Tales of Freaks, Illusionists, and Other Matters Odd and Magical, and my story is entitled "The Mummy's Daughter."
As you can see, I'm in good company.

Hi, I'm a huge fan of yours. I started reading your books in elementary school through highschool. I'm currently in college at the age of 21 and I still remember reading your books and really liking them. It has been 3 years since your last book, Freaks, and I really hope you come out with a new full book soon. I know your titles are targeted at teens but growing up with your books I think I will still appreciate whatever you write.
Thanks so much! I'm trying. Honest. *grin* I'm just slow.
awesome! I would never think throughout my years I would actually get to 'speak' to you! Do you have any upcoming appearances on the East coast? I would love to get my books autographed!
I'm going to be at ConBust, a science fiction convention at Smith College in Massachusetts at the end of March. I'll probably do a Blog entry about that soon. Other than that, I have nothing set up. I'll try to do an entry here if something else emerges.
I'd love to sign your books!
Hi,
I just read Blood and Chocolate and I love it! I've been searching online for any sequels, but you haven't written any. I would love for you to make another book in the series, because I just could not stop reading Blood and Chocolate until it was over :(. I hope you consider it because all over my friends in LA/LIT have read it and agree.
Are u going 2 answer?
Hi, Audrey! I'm glad you liked B&C. I'm afraid I haven't any plans for a sequel. I just haven't had the right idea yet. I guess I have a short attention span, because I prefer to go on to something new. Not that I'm saying a sequel will never happen. I've been surprised before. *grin*
Sorry it took me so long to respond. I get distracted easily.
I would enjoy your autograph also. I think it would be great for you to appear at a bookstore called "Books and Books", very well known. It's very popular and the owner actually sets up the Miami-Dade Bookfaire. Not to be rude and in no way am I comparing you to any author, but Stephenie Meyer actually went there. Many other famous authors have gone there. If anything you should show up at Miami-Dade book fair; it really is something else!
Actually, Emily, I have been to that book fair, but it was a few years ago, now. Authors usually have to be invited to appear there. Perhaps they will ask me to come back. I'd better get another book out for that.
When I read your response I was a little upset at myself! How could I miss the author who wrote one of my favorite books'? I do hope you enjoyed your stay. I know that Miami can be realy hectic if people are not used to it, but the Florida is nice that time of the year!
